One Page, the Whole Relationship

The relationship and account profiles were built to answer a customer's question right away. The relationship profile puts everything on a single page - every account, every product, and the history behind them - so nobody has to open four screens to give one answer.

  • Customer profitability
  • Transactions
  • Account Notices
  • Statements
  • Maintenance, and more

Net Interest Margin

Every relationship has a number that matters more than the balance - what it actually earns. BNControl calculates net interest margin from the customer's own deposits and loans, and shows it on their accounts alongside weighted cost of funds and loans weighted rate.

Where deposits outweigh loans, the surplus is valued at your yield on earning assets. Where loans outweigh deposits, the gap is costed at your cost of funds. Select the figure to see how it was built, or model a rate or balance change before you offer it.

  • Net interest margin per customer
  • Weighted cost of funds and loans weighted rate
  • Total deposits and total loans at a glance
  • The full breakdown behind every figure
  • Model a rate or balance change first
  • Hypotheticals are never saved

Customer Insights

Insights read what BNControl already knows about a customer - balances, transaction history, opportunities, referrals, and maturity dates - and surface what is worth a conversation without anyone running a report first.

Nothing is stored or scheduled. The tab is built the moment it is opened, written as plain sentences rather than figures, and a heading only appears when it actually has something to report.

  • Plain sentences, not a wall of metrics
  • Grouped under four headings
  • Only shows what qualifies
  • Nothing to set up or tune

What's Changed

Accounts opened or closed recently, products picked up or dropped, and real movement in money coming in, deposit balances, or transaction counts against the pattern that came before.

Key Dates

Loans and time deposits approaching maturity, a financial statement about to expire, referral follow-ups coming due, and the birthday or customer anniversary that earns a call.

What's Ongoing

Loans behind on their payments and accounts that have run past their maturity date. On an account, the steady payments that simply keep running are reported here too.

What's Missing

Products the customer does not hold and can still be approached about, what they are known to keep at another institution, and a relationship resting on a single account.

Account Insights

Open a deposit, time deposit, or loan and the same tab answers a narrower question. Account insights read the account's recent balance history and report only what stands out.

  • Balance trend against its own history
  • Sitting below its peak, or near its low
  • No activity for an extended stretch
  • Approaching maturity, or already matured
  • Expected renewal rate on time deposits
  • Line drawn against the amount committed

Recurring Payments

Steady payments running in and out of an account are recognized from the customer's own activity. Nothing has to be tagged and no rules have to be written - BNControl works out the rhythm, from a biweekly payroll deposit to a premium billed once a year, and describes it in plain language.

The customer profile reports only what recently started or stopped, because that is what changes the conversation. Payments that are simply continuing are reported on the account they run through, so neither view repeats the other.

Recurring payments are not evaluated on loan accounts. A loan payment follows the schedule on the note, so there would be nothing to discover.

  • Acme Payroll started 21 days ago
  • Acme Payroll stopped 62 days ago
  • ~$2,500 from Acme Payroll every 14 days
  • ~$1,200 to State Farm about every 6 months

Products Held Elsewhere

Your customers are already paying for products you offer. The premium leaving a checking account every month is somebody's insurance policy. The transfer going out to a brokerage is somebody's investment account. BNControl reads that activity, matches it against known outside providers, and flags the opportunity on the customer's profile.

Open the flag and BNControl shows its work - every company behind the match, how many payments were seen, what they averaged, and when the first and last one posted.

  • Flagged on the Sales Opportunities list
  • Only for products they do not hold with you
  • Never raised on a one-off payment
  • Built from the customer's own activity
  • Feeds referrals and marketing reports
BNControl - CRM - Held Elsewhere Evidence

BNControl ships with behavioral recognition of the services your customers commonly pay for - insurance carriers, brokerages, mortgage and auto servicers, card issuers, consumer lenders, and competing institutions - along with the payee patterns that identify them. Point a group at one of your own products and it starts raising flags. Mortgage, investment, and insurance are pointed at yours automatically.

All of it is editable. Add your own groups, match on the ACH company name or the transaction description, and add exclusions when a name is being read the wrong way. The patterns we ship are kept current between releases.

Referral Tracking

The opportunity list shows what a customer already holds and what they are eligible for, side by side, so the next conversation is obvious. A referral takes a few clicks from there.

Our library of referral reports covers the whole program - volume, outcomes, follow-ups, and incentive tracking - so you can see what the effort is actually returning.

  • What's held and what's eligible, side by side
  • Create a referral in a few clicks
  • Follow-up dates that surface in Insights
  • Track the referral through to completion
  • Report on volume, outcomes, and incentives

Referrals That Start With Evidence

When the referral is for something held elsewhere, the form says so and links straight to the same activity. Whoever writes it up can see the evidence while they are writing it, and whoever picks up the call already knows why it was made.

From there it is the ordinary referral lifecycle - pending, followed up, declined, closed - so an opportunity found this way is worked and measured exactly like every other one.

  • Flagged on the referral form itself
  • The same evidence, one click away
  • No separate workflow to learn
  • Outcomes roll into referral reporting

Marketing Reports

The marketing reports expand cross-selling efforts by examining product and service utilization across your entire portfolio - who holds what, who holds almost nothing, and where a territory is thinner than it looks.

Two of them come from Held Elsewhere directly. Report 1315 lists every customer flagged for a product, with branch, market, officer, contact details, and whether a referral is already pending - a call list you can work the same morning. Report 1316 summarizes the outside companies behind that activity, so you can see which competitor you are actually losing to.

Built-In Guardrails

Knowing more about a customer only helps if the system also knows when to say nothing. A customer marked Do Not Solicit is never flagged for anything, and their profile says so plainly. Opt-outs on individual products are honored the same way, right down to the single opportunity.

Activity is attributed to the primary owner of an account, so being a signer on someone else's account never pulls their business onto your profile. Users only see the opportunities their permissions allow, insights sit behind a permission of their own, and masked accounts stay masked.

A product is counted as held elsewhere or as a product gap, never as both, so nothing is double-counted into a campaign.

  • Do Not Solicit customers are never flagged
  • Per-product opt-outs honored
  • Attributed to the primary account holder
  • Opportunity permissions respected per user
  • Insights gated by their own permission
  • Masked accounts stay masked
  • Never counted as a gap and held elsewhere

Nothing to Configure

Insights have no admin screen and no thresholds to tune. Grant the permission and the tab starts answering questions on every customer and account your staff open.

Evidence, Not Guesswork

Every flag shows the activity behind it - who was paid, how often, how much, and when it started. Nobody is asked to trust a number they cannot see the working for.

Straight Into the Referral

An opportunity found this way lands in the referral workflow your team already runs, and is measured by the same reports as everything else.
